Can I pick and choose which information I would like to download? When you download a copy of your data on Facebook, you'll have control over which categories of data you want to include in the download, as well as which date range of data you want to include of the data you want to receive.
These choices are available when you make the request for your information. Learn more about what's included. You'll receive a ZIP file that, once opened and extracted, will contain an HTML file named index that you can open like a web page on your web browser.
The ZIP file will contain folders with files, including any images and videos you've requested. Authentication enables people to log in to your mobile or web app and create an account by using their Facebook credentials. They do not need to create or remember a separate password. When your app uses Facebook Login to authenticate someone, it receives a User access token. If your app uses one of the Facebook SDKs, this token lasts for about 60 days.
However, the SDKs automatically refresh the token whenever the person uses your app, so the tokens expire 60 days after last use. If your app doesn't use the Facebook SDKs, you need to include code that refreshes the User token manually. If the User access token expires, your app must put the user through the login flow again. For now though, your Facebook data is still likely filled of surprises. Over the weekend, some Android users were shocked to learn that Facebook retained metadata about their call and SMS history.
