The songs disappear randomly, sometimes only 4 or 5 do, other times all of them, and other times there are no songs that dissappear.
It also happens with local files. It still happens. EDIT: it seems my device appears 3 times on the page you said. It appears as today, as yesterday and as 5 days ago. Edit2: I add a screenshot taken just now of what happens. I've just forced close spotify and ran it again. As you can see, some songs are there, but some others aren't.
My phone just betrayed me and set this as a solved post. It isn't, can anyone put that off and please tell the devs to fix that. I think it's something related to the sd card auto selection. I just passed 3 local songs to my device and now i reconnect to spotify desktop and it gives me my internal memory insted of the SD. Please give the option so we can use whatever memory we want to use and this stops! Quentarus - If you want support from Spotify, you need to get in touch with the support team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to lend a hand.
The Spotify community is not an official support channel, it has been set up as a place for user-user help. I would also ask that you try and keep the language respectful here on the community, we are just here to help. Also "begging for money" is a ridiculous thing to say, you pay for a service they don't beg you for money.
If you don't like it, you can walk away and they will never bother you again unlike people who beg for things. If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email even if its from no-reply and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
Alternatively, if you prefer support via Twitter, please tweet SpotifyCares and they will be more than happy to help. I have around songs already downloaded on my phone. I found it in my setup folder where I keep the installation files for the apps on my computer. Good to know even if it is thirty five years or so late. Maybe some of them are still on my computer and nobody knows where Microsoft put them. It will find ,as its name implies, Everything even deleted files. It has many other options for searching.
Hope this will help. I never had any idea there was any danger. After reading this article, I emptied the Download folder into another folder. Actually, I should take some time and move those files into more appropriate folders. Since my old Win 7 machines run with a standard user for everyone and an admin user for me, downloading a file while logged in as admin made it difficult for other users, either on the machine or on the network, to find these files.
Problem solved! I believe it to be number 1 on the list above. But whatever or wherever it is located, I have never lost a file that I downloaded. And, as Leo suggests, if it is an important download, I move it to a separate, distinct folder and back it up! Makes typing these entries into various open and save dialog boxes MUCH easier. Some programs have their own default Downloads folder which is can be changed inside the program.
You can move the Downloads or any folder using Windows File Explorer. This article explains how to move the My Documents folder but it works for any folder. I moved Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Music, and Videos inside the OneDrive folder so all my personal files are synchronized on the cloud and are on all of my computers.
I have two Download folders. Other files in my Download folders are installation files for various programs. Never know if I might need or want it. Everything else I download goes into the appropriate folder. When I set up a new machine, I can often bring over the dozens of programs that the old one used; and in some cases I can use the same setup files used in the original machine.
Image backups are pretty big, and sooner or later you run out of space for the old ones…. Eventually you do, yes, but you get to choose how large a window of recoverability you want or need. This may seem simplistic but I have never deleted any downloads. I was never sure what to delete.
Any ideas on how to proceed? Some you might keep move to a different folder others you might delete. Most browsers, as lew b noted, most browsers have a setting for where to download files, and even to ask where to download them. I have the same problem but with my mobile.
Tap on Library and select Downloads. Tap on the three-dot menu icon next to the playlist you want to remove and select Remove download. Go back to Library and under Playlists, Select the playlist you want to download.
Tap the menu icon and select Download. YouTube has a massive library of videos, and you will often find multiple versions of the same song on the platform. The one you added to your playlist may be no longer available.
For example, I added Ruby by Kaiser Chiefs to a playlist, and later it was unavailable. A simple search on YouTube and YouTube Music app shows that the song is gone, but another version is available. Another issue could be of regional availability. You see a public playlist with songs that you like and add it. But are those songs available in your country? There are so many factors at play, like music rights and label contracts.
While most artists do have a presence on YouTube, the odds are still there. Two factors limit the number of songs you can add to a playlist and download. The first one is your smartphone's storage space. How much do you have left? Open Settings and check under About phone. YouTube imposed the second one. Felix Beuster, a product expert, notes that YouTube playlists are limited to videos. So YouTube Music playlists should have the same limitation, I assume. While that's a generous figure, some power users might have reached the upper limit.
Things maybe a little different based on the phone you are using. You can try disabling and then re-enabling it once to jumpstart things. Check if playlists still don't download completely in YouTube Music.
